چکیده
Objective: In the present study, a photoplethysmographic (PPG) waveform analysis for assessing differences in autonomic reactivity to mental stress between patients with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and healthy control (HC) subjects is presented. xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Methods: PPG recordings of 40 MDD HC were acquired at basal conditions, during execution cognitive tasks, post-task relaxation period. pulses are decomposed into three waves (a main wave two reflected waves) using pulse decomposition analysis. Pulse characteristics such as time delay position waves, percentage amplitude loss heart rate (HR) calculated among others. The intra-subject difference feature value conditions used an index reactivity. xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Results: Statistically significant individual from recovery found HR second ( $A_{13}$ ) both group. However, indices related reached higher values than (Cohen's notation="LaTeX">${d=\!-0.81},{\,\text {AUC}=0.74}$ ), implying that response depressed reduced. A statistically notation="LaTeX">$p \,<\, 0.001$ negative correlation notation="LaTeX">$r=-0.5$ depression severity scores was found. xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Conclusion: decreased associated degree depression. xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Significance: Stress quantification by dynamic changes morphology can be aid diagnosis monitoring

Photoplethysmographic signal waveform index for detection of increased arterial stiffness.
The aim of this research was to assess the validity of the photoplethysmographic (PPG) waveform index PPGAI for the estimation of increased arterial stiffness. For this purpose, PPG signals were recorded from 24 healthy subjects and from 20 type II diabetes patients. The recorded PPG signals were processed with the analysis algorithm developed and the waveform index PPGAI similar to the augment...
متن کاملAssessment of the agreement between photoplethysmographic and arterial waveform respiratory variation in patients undergoing spine surgery.
Respiratory variation in the arterial blood pressure and photoplethysmographic (PPG) waveforms have both been shown to predict the haemodynamic response to volume administration. Whether or not the two can be considered interchangeable is controversial. Twenty-three patients undergoing spine surgery received both a 20 gauge intra-arterial catheter and a Masimo adult adhesive SpHb sensor connect...
متن کاملPulse oximetry and photoplethysmographic waveform analysis of the esophagus and bowel.
PURPOSE OF REVIEW This article reviews the development of novel reflectance pulse oximetry sensors for the esophagus and bowel, and presents some of the techniques used to analyze the waveforms acquired with such devices. RECENT FINDINGS There has been much research in recent years to expand the utility of pulse oximetry beyond the simple measurement of arterial oxygen saturation from the fin...
متن کاملA spectral-spatial fusion model for robust blood pulse waveform extraction in photoplethysmographic imaging
Photoplethysmographic imaging is an optical solution for non-contact cardiovascular monitoring from a distance. This camera-based technology enables physiological monitoring in situations where contact-based devices may be problematic or infeasible, such as ambulatory, sleep, and multi-individual monitoring. However, automatically extracting the blood pulse waveform signal is challenging due to...
متن کاملMultispectral, Fluorescent and Photoplethysmographic Imaging for Remote Skin Assessment
Optical tissue imaging has several advantages over the routine clinical imaging methods, including non-invasiveness (it does not change the structure of tissues), remote operation (it avoids infections) and the ability to quantify the tissue condition by means of specific image parameters. Dermatologists and other skin experts need compact (preferably pocket-size), self-sustaining and easy-to-u...
